Deep down I'm a gushy fangirl...and other confessions.

I confess that...

...after Kathy confessed that she was thinking about leaving the blog world last week, my heart/jaw/blogboner just fell.  This woman is my blogging idol!  I mentioned yesterday how I used to follow people who were basically douchebags and blogbots who would write generic posts about how great their life was, and oh, look at this fancy dish I whipped up for our Sunday picnic, and this product that I got for free is so wonderful I only have good things to say even though I'll probably never use it again, and blah blah blah.  Kathy's not like that at all.  She's a bad ass mother/workaholic/pottymouth who isn't afraid to tell it like it is - hand-drawn pictures and all.

...I don't know whether I should be grateful for all the posts, gifs, and general awesomeness she's shared over the years or pissed the fuck off that she's deserting me.  If I sound like a spoiled, bratty kid throwing a tantrum because things are not going my way then good.  That's what I feel like right now.  She needs to stay, dammit.

 

...even though I don't read her blog every single day, when I do stop by, I read a few past random posts and they still make me laugh, even if I've read them before.  Her blog posts are like good books or movies - they've got drama, humor, wit, and by the end of it you feel connected.  Hey Kat, you should really write a book.  Okay, never mind - I already know what you're going to say: #aintnobodygottimeforthat

...when it comes to other Asian bloggers, I tend to get a little creepy.  No offense to everyone else, but Asian bloggers just get me - mostly because, well duh, I'm an Asian blogger.  Kathy is not your typical Asian blogger, and I think that's why I love her the most.  Especially since we both love to make fun of our people.

...she's the reason behind my whole new outlook on life and blogging in general.  Seriously.  I would probably have never found these awesome new blog friends to stalk (if you linked up with Kathy's 'Humpday Confessions' I'm totally referring to you) and would never have felt comfortable enough to let my real self show through here on the blog - f*bombs, and all.

I was censored and cared too much about what people thought of this blog before.  When I started reading Kathy's blog I was a bit taken back at first - Did she seriously just post that on the internet?  Of course it was true, and of course I agreed with her and laughed my ass off through her posts, but omg doesn't she care what people will think?  Simple answer:  nope, she doesn't.

I came to the realization that if it weren't for the whole being absolute strangers and living thousands of miles apart, we could be best friends.  The only difference between her and I (besides, you know, Canada) was that she had the balls to show how she really felt and who she really was on her blog.  She showed me (and I'm sure others too) that it's okay to be yourself on the internet.  People will either love you or hate you - and no matter what, someone will stalk you anyway.
