Hooray, it's Wednesday! This is my favorite day of the blog week because of the Humpday Confessions link-up! Shout outs to all my fellow Vodka & Soda stalkers!
...I had really been hoping to start a regular workout routine this week but I woke up Monday morning feeling sick. It started with the sniffles and an itchy throat, which was bearable, until it got worse yesterday. Now I can't breathe, my body aches, I'm coughing and sneezing all over the place, and my throat hurts so bad that it's hard to swallow. Get your mind outta the gutter, people. I wish I could crawl back into bed right now, but I have to push through, get work done, and oh yeah, I'm still planning a 5-year-old's birthday this weekend. Crap.
...I'm super stoked about Sarah's campaign for Bad Bad Jewelry! I've been a huge fan of her work since, well...forever. Her pieces are simple, fun, and empowering and just so damn cute! She's got a campaign going on right now in hopes of raising some money to buy supplies and materials to create even more awesome shit! Let's help her out! Plus, there are perks for each contribution you make. Win/win, duh. Besides my highly coveted "fuck it" necklace, she's got some other bad ass pieces that I know a few of you fitness foxes will appreciate.
...I feel so unprepared for Trace's birthday party this weekend. The party favors came in yesterday but I'm still waiting for more stuff. I have no idea what's going on with the waterslide, cotton candy machine, cake, etc. - that's all under Joey's department. I still haven't even gone to get the slip 'n slides, buckets, snacks, or groceries I'll need to make the food for that day. Did I mention the party is in 3 days?
...I've really REALLY got to buckle down and start budgeting. This month will be my last splurge month for a long, long, LONG time. I need to figure out how to make some extra cash on the side. Scentsy? ItWorks? Drugs?
Now it's your turn! Time to 'fess up! I wanna know your deepest darkest secrets! Like, NOW.
Ugh I havent had a minute to myself this week so I havent worked out either and I really really need to budget. Also sometimes girl you just need cake ... I totally get it. The truck still wins though.
ReplyDeletegirlfriend dont even talk to me about buckling down with the wallet. we legit shit the bed and spent so much damn money this month i'm terrified of getting my credit card statement that i've avoided going to the mailbox for the past 2wks #ignoranceisbliss.
ReplyDeletethanks for linking up!

Drink lots of juice and feel better. Water slide and cotton candy machine? Sounds like a craazy party. I realize it's for a kid, but I kinda want my birthday to have those things.
ReplyDeleteAs a lawyer, I can't condone selling drugs. However, as a human being, I highly advise it over peddling useless crap to your friends! I mean really? I feel like everyone is trying to sell me something these days! Uber annoying!

Girl, if there was no risk of me getting caught and I had the connections I would absolutely (hypothetically) hustle drugs on the side. That is fast cash.
ReplyDeletethat bad bad jewelry looks awesome!! i need to budget SO bad. it's getting out of hand
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better! Cake and a truck... your week officially trumps mine HAHA
ReplyDeleteWe could all be like Nancy and sell weed on the side right.. shes still a mom in suburbia right?!
I'm pretty jealous of the new truck for your birthday! I'd totally go get cake too though. Ha ha :D Good luck with the birthday party this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would have went and got me a cake too. You can't eat a truck! And ummm...yea that party shit...you might wanna go ahead and get it together lol. And I hope you start to feel better.
ReplyDeleteHi!! Just found your blog. Wanted to say that I can sympathize with the energy sucking/soul sucking job of a legal assistant! I also have a blog and it helps keep me sane. Glad I stumbled on yours! http://theladyolive.com
ReplyDeleteI say all the time I'm going to start budgeting and it never happens. Maybe this will be the month for both of us!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to save money, trying selling some items that you don't need. I've sold a couple of small things on ebay, and I've made a little bit of money on the side for my office area, which I'm trying to redesign! :)

Depending on the type of drug abuse, drug history, previous treatment attempts, home environment, and other factors, individuals may benefit from either outpatient or residential drug abuse treatment. With residential treatment, the person must move into the center and stay there full-time, usually for a few months. With day-only centers (i.e. outpatient), the patient attends treatment in the daytime, but sleeps at home. wagcares
