...I just started watching How I Met Your Mother. I know. I'm in the process of watching the whole series on Netflix right now so give me a little more time. I'm on Season 6 now.
...I just watched my first episode of Parks & Rec this year. And by this year I mean just the other month. Yeah. All those Ron Swanson GIFs went right over my head before then. It was one of those re-run episodes they play on TBS or Fox or whatever channel I was watching but it was awesome. So awesome that I had to force myself to stop watching it so I could binge watch the whole thing in order later.
...Never have I ever watched Game of Thrones. Not once. It seems interesting so I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually. And it will be ON.
...I'm not a fan of Walking Dead. Sorry, but zombies are so not my jam. I know you probably hate me right now, but I just can't.
...Dexter, 24, Hannibal, Suits, 30 Rock, Workaholics, and pretty much any other show you watch...I probably have never watched. Yet.
Please don't hate me. I promise I'll watch whatever show you recommend, as soon as I finish all the other shows. It may take several years. In hopes of redeeming myself, I can say that I've watched every single episode of Friends and Will&Grace. I can quote lines and reenact scenes from those...so can we be friends again?

ReplyDeletei'm a TV junkie. i know it, my husband knows it, the world knows it. without tv, i would shrivel up and die #firstworldproblems. my tv confession: i hated true detectives. everyone was jizzing all over that so i gave it a go and omfg BORING AS FUCK.

I didn't know Game of thrones even existed until season 3. Then my parents treated me like I was an alien and I binge watched all 3 seasons. Which was really dumb because then I got to wait a whole year for season 4 like everyone else. haha
ReplyDeleteAs much fun as it is to be in on the loop when everyone's talking about a show, it's almost more convenient to wait. Then you can watch it all at once without waiting the better part of a year for it to come back!
ReplyDeleteI liked How I Met Your Mother up until the end, and I'm really enjoying Once Upon a Time. Breaking Bad I refuse to watch despite its rampant popularity (They're never happy! I like happy shows!), and Orange is the New Black I've watched a couple episodes but don't love it the way so many seem to.
I suffer with a bad case of FOMO so I tend to watch most of the shows which are popular but I haven't watched HIMYM I know people loved it but I've watched one or two episodes and never felt compelled to go back for more.... ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm always late to the game when it comes to TV shows. I didn't start watching Grey's until they started season 3. I still haven't seen the last season of HIMYM, despite my love for the show. I also love Mad Men, Modern Family, and Downton Abbey. I understand not getting too much into certain shows like OITNB and GoT, I tried them and I just can't get into them. I'm also not a TV-aholic, which doesn't help. But God help the person who gives away spoilers to shows that I do watch......

Don't feel bad. I haven't watched those shows either. I'm too busy killing my brains cells watching all 27 different versions of the Real Housewives franchise. That show is ridiculous just by title alone. Add in Basketball wives, Teen Mom, and the Bad Girls club and I have hit rock bottom. Do I need a TV intervention?
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, the only reason I sit through any TV show is because my husband wants to. So we end up watching adult cartoons a lot, think Family Guy. Although, I'm totally into Brooklyn Nine Nine and The Goldberg's!

I also just started watching Scandal a couple months ago. I liked the Walking Dead at first, but I lost interest pretty fast. Have you watched Orange is the New Black?

I pick about two that I'll watch consistently and then I'll just have to wait to binge on other ones later when they come on Netflix. I'm just now catching up on Orange Is The New Black and then I think I'll start binging on Game of Thrones!
ReplyDeletehaha this is so funny! i had a tv show post in my drafts and i wasnt really feeling publishing it, especially after seeing kathy's! i watch lame shows, no shame haha. i have watched game of thrones, but have never seen a parks & rec episode (yep, and i overuse those gifs like nobodies business) and i did like 30 rock for awhile. but other than that....haha. i need some new shows, i was thinking about starting Suits.
ReplyDeleteI've been debating on whether or not to watch Game of Thrones for awhile now. I've heard so many good things about it, but I just don't know. Although, it's almost worth it just to watch Kit Harrington and Jason Momoa ;) Also, I made the commitment to watch all eight seasons of Dexter on Netflix. I have 6 episodes of the last season, I don't even think that I like the show anymore, but I'm SO close now.

HIMYM is pretty awesome. I'm not caught up, but I read spoilers about the ending since I wasn't planning on watching it anytime soon. I'm a fan of The Walking Dead, but it's cool if zombies aren't your thing. I love zombie movies & tv :). I haven't watched a lot of TV lately, besides being about to start the second season of Orange is the New Black.
