Last night was the Smokey's first game in the Guam Budweiser Baseball League and we had a huge turnout. I usually don't like going to Joey's sporting events because it's just me sitting by myself trying to control my naughtyrambunctious kids as they go up and down the bleachers to use the restroom, get drinks, get food, use the restroom again, get more snacks, etc. If you're a mother, you know how frustrating this can get.
However, since Joey's leg is broken he's still unable to play so he's stuck coaching from the dugout. It's actually a perk for me because the kids are allowed to play down in the bullpen since Joey's down there looking out for them. So for the first time in a long time, I was actually able to watch the game.
I had fun cheering all the players on and yelling at the umpires for their bad calls. Unfortunately, they ended up losing - but it was still a really great event. The family and fans of the players got to meet each other and for their first game, they did pretty good.
I can't wait until their next game, hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes last night and get a win!
